Surveyors

Surveyors will use the parameters set-up by the Delta County Control Grid Program as created by the Mesa County Surveyor. This area falls under the Delta County Local Coordinate System (DCLCS).

  1. "Horizontal control" is a system of coordinates which has been established by the Mesa County Survey for the purpose of defining and stating the positions or the locations of points on the surface of the earth within the City of Delta and surrounding area.  Delta County Local Coordinate System (DCLCS). 

  2. "Vertical control" is a vertical elevation system based on NGVD 88 datum which has been established by Mesa County Survey for vertical control within Delta County, the City of Delta and surrounding area.

  3. The Delta County Local Coordinate System is available on the internet through the Mesa County Survey-GPS program.  Surveyors will use the parameters established by the Delta County Control Grid Program as created by the Mesa County Surveyor. This area falls under the Delta County Local Coordinate System (DCLCS).
