Holly Park

Holly Park was built in 1989 on land donated to the City of Delta in 1978 by the Holly Sugar Company. Sugar beets and sugar production was a strong driver in the agricultural history in Delta until the 1980's. The large metal wheel in the park was used in the sugar beet cleaning process and is a reminder of the historical importance of that crop and company. The size and presence of the wheel, surrounded by the beauty of the flowers planted there, provide an interesting contrast between nature and industry.
